Seeking a middle/high school science teacher in Korea to join us for the 2023-24 academic year, beginning late August

Gwacheon, just south of Seoul. We are a small community established in a lovely natural setting on a hillside with trees, flowers, gardens, a nature trail, and beautiful views of Gwanak Mountain. We have a diverse student body with fantastic parental and community support. WCA follows a Canadian curriculum and is accredited by the Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and Accreditation International (Ai).

We are seeking a middle/high school science teacher to join us for the 2023-24 academic year, beginning late August 2023. The teacher is responsible for teaching the following classes:

- General Science 9
- General Science 10
- Biology 11
- Biology OR Chemistry OR Physics 12
- an additional class or mentor position TBD

We offer small class sizes, paid vacations, and a competitive salary based on experience. The ideal candidate holds an F-class visa (or is a Korean national), has teaching experience, and is a certified educator (or is enrolled in a certification program).



Working Conditions:

- Working hours: Monday to Friday from 8:15AM to 4:00PM

- Staff Meetings: usually two Wednesdays each month, from 3:40 to 4:40PM

- Supervision: one or two lunch recesses during the week



Benefits:

- Salary ranges from KRW 2.4-3.8 million depending on experience, degrees, and teaching license/credential
